China has gone from "under-developed" country to the "factory of the world". This happened during my presence in China. In the mid-eighties, I co-founded an export company opening the doors to Europe. I still appreciate this rich 15 years experience.
Meanwhile, China has quickly developed and European buyers can choose from different supply channels. The Chinese workforce has also new needs and foreign companies operating in China are battling to strike the balance between salaries and retention. Participation can be the win-win that brings balance between employers and employees; "better results and improved team spirit".
Regional or Strategic meetings where different teams, factories or branches, get together have proven to be an excellent occasion to find common grounds and build a future.
